What I would like to discuss now is the actual process of mass communication and how it works. In mass communication, a professional communicator is the source, someone who shares information, ideas, or attitudes with someone else. The source may be an author, a newspaper reporter, a television reporter, or an announcer. The technological devices are the channels, or the means by which the message was sent. An example of this would be that radio and television messages are transmitted via cable and satellite systems. The message is whatever the source attempts to share with another person. In mass communication, the large audience comprises the receivers, the people who are the attended recipients of the message. Occasionally a receiver of the message will sent feedback to the source, that is, a response that allows the source to determine if the message was correctly understood. In mass communication feedback can be conveyed through a letter to the editor, for instance, or a telephone call to a television station. The short story â€Å"Eveline,† by James Joyce is a story of a young girl who must make a decision between an unhappy life that she is familiar and comfortable with and a life of possible happiness, love, and the unknown. If she leaves with the sailor she has become fond of, she would have the chance to run off to unknown fun, unlimited dreams, and the possibility of love, or the possibility of a life of solitude. If she chose to stay with her father who was abusive and unwilling to change his ways, she would most certainly have a life of predictability and unhappiness. This made life with Frank sound more appealing. Also, Eveline had made a promise to her dying mother to take care of the home and her younger siblings for as long as she could. She would have to go back on her promise. Could she break a promise to her dying mother? The neighborhood she lived in was predictable and comfortable. She knew everything about it. As hard as the decision was, Eveline made the right decision to stay with her family because she is afraid to fail. Although Frank was a sailor that promised fun, dreams, and the ability to be happy, he could never make Eveline completely happy without love. When they would meet in secret she would always have fun with him. He made her happy. They would go to shows and he would sing to her. He made her feel special, which was something Eveline yearned for. Frank was mysterious. He told her stories of the many things he would do on his travels. He told of how he traveled through the Straights of Magellan and of when he had fallen on his feet in Buenos Ayres. His stories were always elaborate and often seemingly unbelievable at times. He told her he would take her to Buenos Ayres; this is where they would live happily ever after. He had a house waiting for her, he told her. She would be his wife. He never actually told her though, what would become of them or how they would survive. She knew Frank could give her life, but only perhaps love too. Eveline was not in love with Frank. At the end of this short story when she tells him good bye her eyes showed him no sign of farewell, or recognition, or love. When she decided to stay, Eveline knew what the rest of her life had in store with her family. Eveline was comfortable with her family and knew what to expect for the rest of her life. She had food and shelter. Her father was abusive and demanding but, he was always there for her and her family. One time when she was sick he read her a story and made her toast by the fire. This shows that even if his actions don’t always prove it, he cares about her and loves her. She would have to give up her family to stay with Frank because her father did not like him. Once her father had quarreled with Frank, after that she had been forbidden to see him any longer. She loved her family. It would be too difficult to give up on her family to be with a man she did not love. If she failed she would not have her family. Eveline never wanted to disappoint anyone in anything she did. If she left she would even disappoint her dead mother. Eveline had made a promise to her dying mother, on her death bed, the night she died, to keep the house together for as long as she could. This was hard for Eveline, but she knew it must be done. Eveline was the only person who could take on the task of caring for her siblings after her mother had passed away. Her father was often in a bad way, and would become violent with everyone that he came in contact with. Eveline would give all her money to the family for what they needed and wished she could give more. If Eveline stayed she would have to continue to work hard to keep her family together, but it was familiar and did not threaten failure and loneliness. She knew what was expected of her and knew she could do it. She would go to work, come home, and take care of her family that was her routine. Eveline was comfortable. She would work hard to keep her family together. She would not fail and she would forever be able to stay in the house she was familiar with and loved. Eveline was so accustomed to the neighborhood she lived, it had become comfortable. This was where she had grown up. She used to play in the streets and she knew everybody. She even knew the sounds of the people walking down the street, like the familiar footsteps clacking on the pavement of the man in the last house on his way home. She knew the familiar smells of the area. She was fond of the smell of her house. Eveline often mentioned the familiar odor of dusty creatone. Everything in the house was familiar and she had wondered at times if she would ever see them again. She had never dreamed of being divided from them. She was unsure if she could leave and not come back. She would never be able to see these things again. This was something Eveline could never face. Eveline was a weak woman brought down by a man all her life. Eveline made the right decision by staying because she had no idea what was ahead and was too afraid of failure. The risk of failure was too real. There were no promises of success. Eveline realized she only had one family and if you turn on them you have nobody left. If she were to fail with Frank she would have to fail alone, she than would have nobody to be there to help pick up the pieces. She would never again have the familiar sounds in the street, the house she grew up in, or her family. She would have to break a promise she made to her dying mother. Eveline did not believe it was worth the chance of failure. Eveline made the right decision to stay with her family.

He wound up working for a printer and learned the trade, becoming the printer and editor of a local newspaper in Newburyport. After an effort to operate his own newspaper failed, Garrison moved to Boston, where he worked in print shops and became involved in social causes, including the temperance movement. Garrison, who tended to see life as a struggle against sin, began to find his voice as the editor of a temperance newspaper in the late 1820s. Garrison met Benjamin Lundy, a Quaker who edited a Baltimore-based antislavery newspaper, The Genius of Emancipation. Following the election of 1828, during which Garrison worked on a newspaper that supported Andrew Jackson, he moved to Baltimore and began working with Lundy. In 1830, Garrison got into trouble when he was sued for libel and refused to pay a fine. He served 44 days in the Baltimore city jail. Publishing The Liberator In his earliest involvement in the abolitionist cause, Garrison supported the idea of colonization, a proposed ending of slavery by returning slaves in American to Africa. The American Colonization Society was a fairly prominent organization dedicated to that concept. Garrison soon rejected the idea of colonization, and split with Lundy and his newspaper. Striking out on his own, Garrison launched The Liberator, a Boston-based abolitionist newspaper. On Jan. 11, 1831, a brief article in a New England newspaper, the Rhode Island American and Gazette, announced the new venture while praising Garrisons reputation: Mr. Wm. L. Garrison, indefatigable and honest advocate of the abolition of slavery, who has suffered more for conscience sake and independence than any man in modern times, has established a newspaper in Boston, called the Liberator. Two months later, on March 15, 1831, the same newspaper reported on the early issues of The Liberator, noting Garrisons rejection of the idea of colonization: Mr. Wm. Lloyd Garrison, who has suffered much persecution in his efforts to promote the abolition of Slavery, has commenced a new weekly paper in Boston, called the Liberator. We perceive he is extremely hostile to the American Colonization Society, a measure we have been inclined to regard as one of the best means of effecting the gradual abolition of slavery. The blacks in New York and Boston have held numerous meetings and denounced the colonization society. Their proceedings are published in the Liberator. Garrisons newspaper would continue publishing every week for nearly 35 years, only ending when the 13th Amendment was ratified and slavery was permanently ended after the end of the Civil War. Supports Slave Rebellion In 1831 Garrison was accused, by Southern newspapers, of involvement in the slave rebellion of Nat Turner. He had nothing to do with it. And, in fact, it is unlikely that Turner had any involvement with anyone outside his immediate circle of acquaintances in rural Virginia. Yet when the story of the rebellion spread in northern newspapers, Garrison wrote editorials for The Liberator praising the outbreak of violence. Garrisons praise of Turner and his followers brought him attention. And a  grand jury in North Carolina issued a warrant for his arrest. The charge was seditious libel, and a Raleigh newspaper noted that the penalty was whipping and imprisonment for the first offense, and death without benefit of clergy for a second offense. Sparks Controversy The writings of Garrison were so provocative that abolitionists dare not travel into the South. In an attempt to circumvent that obstacle, the American Anti-Slavery Society undertook its pamphlet campaign in 1835. Dispatching human representatives of the cause would simply be too dangerous, so antislavery printed material was mailed into the South, where it was often intercepted and burned in public bonfires. Even in the North, Garrison was not always safe. In 1835, a British abolitionist visited America and intended to speak with Garrison at an antislavery meeting in Boston. Handbills were circulated that advocated mob action against the meeting. A mob assembled to break up the meeting, and as newspaper articles in late October 1835 described it, Garrison tried to escape. He was captured by the mob and was paraded through Boston streets with a rope around his neck. The mayor of Boston finally got the mob to disperse, and Garrison was unharmed. Garrison had been instrumental in leading the American Anti-Slavery Society, but his inflexible positions eventually led to a split in the group. Conflict With Frederick Douglas His positions even brought him into conflict at times with Frederick Douglass, a former slave and leading antislavery crusader. Douglass, to avoid legal problems and the possibility that he could be arrested and brought back to Maryland as a slave, eventually paid his former owner for his freedom. Garrisons position was that buying ones own freedom was wrong, as it essentially verified the concept that slavery itself was legal. For Douglass, a black man in constant peril of being returned to bondage, that type of thinking was simply impractical. Garrison, however, was intractable. The fact that slavery was protected under the U.S. Constitution outraged Garrison to the point that he once burned a copy of the Constitution at a public meeting. Among the purists in the abolition movement, Garrisons gesture was seen as a valid protest. But to many Americans, it only made Garrison appear to be operating on the outer fringe of politics. The purist attitude always held by Garrison was to advocate resisting slavery, but not by use of political systems that acknowledged its legality. Later Years and Death As the conflict over slavery became the central political issue of the 1850s, thanks to the Compromise of 1850, the Fugitive Slave Act, the Kansas-Nebraska Act, and a variety of other controversies, Garrison continued to speak out against slavery. But his views were still considered out of the mainstream, and Garrison continued to rail against the federal government for accepting the legality of slavery. However, once the Civil War began, Garrison became a supporter of the Union cause. When the war had ended and the 13th Amendment legally established the end of American slavery, Garrison ended publication of The Liberator, feeling that the struggle had ended. In 1866 Garrison retired from public life, though he would occasionally write articles which advocated equal rights for blacks and women. He died on May 24, 1879. Legacy Garrisons views during his own lifetime were commonly considered extremely radical and he was often subjected to death threats. The main purpose of the report was to investigate the impacts of innovative accounting, enhancement in decision making power, growth and profits made by an organization due to innovative accounting in the financial system. The survey has been made on the 50 accountants and financial managers of Thai listed firm. Questionnaire related to decision making, growth and profits in the organization are compared (Samuel, 2013). H0: Analysis of accounting innovation has a positive effect on business organization. The findings show that the innovative accounting has effects like decision making faster, growth, profits to the organization. In the literature review some researcher said that accounting innovation does not affect the organization, whereas some said that it has a negative effect on the business organization. The findings proved that the effects of the innovative accounting were good in every aspect. According to the study on Thai listed firm the decision making was faster, according to 85% of the accountants. Whereas, the growth was positive said by 65%. Also, profits survey said it was with 55% organizations. Therefore, the data are adequate to prove the findings that the accounting innovation in financial management has the positive effect on the business organization (Yadav, 2013). H1: Accounting innovation is a long term gaining process for an organization. The findings confirm that accounting innovation has long term gaining. As, immediate results are seen in some aspects, but the total results will be achieved over time. In the literature review, it is mentioned that in some ways the accounting innovation has immediate effects, but many researchers pointed towards the long term results. This also concluded the positive result of the innovative accounting that is discussed above. This finding is consistent with the growth of the company. It takes time for any organization to grow (Giampietro, Aspinall, Bukkens, Benalcazar, 2013). It is not a fast or immediate process. Also the profits seen by the organization is a long term process. Therefore, these findings help in concluding that innovative accounting is a long term gaining process. Accounting is a long term process as it took time to incorporate the accounting innovation into the business organization. When the accounting system is incorporated, time is taken by the organization to maintain data on the cloud. Therefore, from the findings the data and information are accessed quickly, but the gain to the organization will be seen over time. According to the findings the database will be maintained and will help the organization in future endeavors. Therefore, it is a long term gaining process (Abdel, 2011). Conclusion Based on the findings and the main objectives the following conclusions are made. The innovative accounting and strategic tool work on reviewing the organizational processes for the small term and achievement in the long term of the strategic plan. The accounting system is a tool that is used for improving the financial management and controlling of the financial operation. If innovative accounting is successfully implemented in the financial management system, it will help in carrying out the planning, controlling, evaluation, strategy of the company, and business processes (ACCA, 2016). Innovation in the accounting technology is a key driver for any business organization in financial management. This kind of the findings is familiar as it has been supported by many researchers and hence the innovation accounting is highlighted as a driving force for any business organization in case of financial management. Innovative accounting is proved as a faster way to a financial manager to make decisions related to the finances like tax assistance, audits, capital transactions, external and internal management of capital etc. If the financial system of any organization is quick, the work or the production or services provided to the customers will also be quick. This helps in customer satisfaction. Customers are the main part of any business organization. So, happy customer helps in making good reputation of the organization which leads to the growth of the organization (CGMA, 2013). Also, the profitability of an organization is increased due to the implementation of new accounting system. This has been also proved in the above findings. The growth of the organization leads to the profits as the profits are made by making financial stability and financial gains. Good accounting system helps in faster calculations for analyzing the financial gains. Also, strategies can be planned accordingly if there will be any losses. Strategic management and priorities are the outcome of the innovation in accounting system. Therefore, it can be concluded that the organization business is improved with the help of innovative accounting in financial management (Forsaith, Tilt, Xydias-Lobo, 2002). Though the process of achievement is a long term process. The growth and the profits will be observed over the time. But, it will make a positive influence on the customers with respect to demand of the customer. Also, including the innovative accounting will add value to the organization. Transparency in financial matters becomes effective with the help of this accounting system. This will also help the business organization to increase the profitability (Karanja Mwangi, 2013).
